No smoking policy 

It is my policy to ensure children are in a smoke free environment whilst in my care.

 

In accordance to the national standards produced by the Department of education and skills I have a no smoking policy in my home.

 

No one is permitted to smoke in my home.

 

I will not take the children to smoky environments and will avoid places where smoking is permitted wherever possible.

 

I will ensure:

 

• No one smokes in a room where the children are present or about to be present.

• No one smokes in an outdoor play area where children are present or about to be present.

• If, in exceptional circumstances, children are expected to use a space where smoking has been allowed I will ensure there is adequate ventilation.
